To the best of our knowledge your present Business
Liability Insurance does not indemnify your company
for damages caused by Identity Theft. Neither you nor
your employees, or your clients are protected from hacking,
phishing, and insider fraud
etc.
When a firm inadvertently lets out client's, or employee's
sensitive information, the company is potentially liable
for damages and the company may even be subject to a
class action lawsuits. Many State's and many Country's
laws now require a company to notify everyone involved
if such an event occurs. It is no longer possible to
try and sweep this under the rug.
Generally speaking Identity Theft Insurance is purchased
before the event occurs and that is still the best and
least expensive time to purchase the coverage.

Last August, one of the world's largest consumer database
companies, said that a computer hacker had gained access
to the company's private files and downloaded sensitive
information about some of its clients' customers. The
company's loss was estimated at $5.8 million. A man
pleaded guilty in December.
